“The sponsorship would continue in years to come depending on impressive administration and discipline among teams. We hope this time around some teams will not decide to withdraw from the competition,” Silas said.

The Rainbow Paints sales and marketing manager said they would also consider sponsoring some of the exciting players incuding Diamonds goal attacker Jessica Mazengera that have emerged following their participation in the top VI Series.

Silas was reacting to remarks made by Southern Region Netball League vice chairperson Isaac Chimwala, who asked for support on behalf of the players.

The sponsorship was brokered by Sports Writers Association of Malawi when the body was looking for a social football tournament.
