Ramadhan suspended, Bullets name Kananji interim coach

Nyasa Big Bullets has  suspended its  Coach Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan indefinetely for what they claim a poor  styke of play and bad results.

Ramadan : Told to conduct a soul-searching

The people’s team  recently gave the Burundian tactician a five-game ultimatum to turn things around following an early exit in the Airtel Top 8 cup and starting poorly in the 2017 TNM Super League.

Bullets General Secretary Albert  Chigoga confirmed to Nyasa Times that  Ramadhan has been on forced leave.

He SAOD some executive members of the club feels the Coach has failed to deliver hence the decision to suspend him.

“It is true we have suspended the Coach due to the team’s poor performance. The trend at which we are moving is pathetic and we felt there is no better time to ask him to step aside than now,”said Chigoga.

Chigoga clarified that Ramadhan has not been sacked, saying he is been asked to step aside so that he can conduct “ soul-serarching” regarding his performance  before the club can decide his fate.

However, speaking to Nyasa Times via a phone interview, the former Flames Coach failed to give his reaction to the decision.

“Am hearing this from you. I cannot comment up until I get official communication from the club,” said Ramadhan.

The coach said  he is “very disappointed” with the decision to suspend him.

He called on the club to clear up the situation.

Bullets secretary general said Elias Kananji has been put in charge temporarily until a decision is made on whether to keep Ramadhan or sack him.

Kananji and Ramadhan are believed not to have seen eye to eye although the club was at pains to deny the rumour.

The club insists Ramadhan was still their coach  on forced leave, but refused to deny widespread reports the  Burundian was to be dismissed.

Bullets had a miserable trip to Central Region last weekend  after returning with just a single point. After going down 1-0 to Blue Eagles on Saturday, the People’s Team was held to a goalless draw by rookies Masters Security at Dedza Stadium.

Bullets are still third with 11 points from seven games.

BULLETS has made a terrible mistake ,Eliya Kananji is a problem. These two have failed to work together .Ramadhan had his choice of who should be his assistant ,no wonder things are uturning out this way now .This is going to work to yhe advantage of our competitors.

I think its just too early to suspect that the problem is with the coach considering how many coaches you have sacked in the past without improving your performance. Its time you overhauled the whole machinery at Bullets and also think of introducing new and young talented players. Time for playing football basing on history is long gone. Learn from Silver Strickers!

Sort out the matter amicably !! Don’t rush. Nkhani ndi ma striker. Bullets needs mature strikers who can be able to score rather than mis-firing. The team is playing well and now its difficult for someone to list first eleven ( line up) coz kuli dziphona, Kangunje, Sailesi……………….u name them !!!!
