The National Referees Association (NRA) in Malawi has assured all soccer lovers in the country that they should expect a perfectly
handled match interms of officiation in the Carlsberg Cup final match.
NRA General Secretary Chris Kalichero said his body has appointed a team of intelligent and highly competent officiating team to handlethe match that will involve old age rivals Mighty Be Forward Wanderers
and Nyasa Big Bullets.
The match is slated for this coming Saturday 9th September 2017 at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
“As referees association we are prepared on our side to give out the best and there is no any pressure on our side. We have a cream of
referees who will believe will do a very good job come Saturday,” said Kalichero.
“All the FIFA rules and regulations will be applied and our referees will officiate without any fear or favour” added Kalichero.
He, however, could not disclose names of individuals appointed to handle the match but unconfirmed reports reaching Nyasa Times indicates that Leo Ngoleka will be the Centre Referee.
Meanwhile, tickets for the much awaited Carlsberg Cup final are already on the market.
According to Football Association of Malawi (FAM) Commercial Manager Limbsni Matola, the tickets will be sold in all the selling points
until the match day but not at the stadium.
Matola said this has been done to avoid congestion at the gates.
“All supporters without a ticket in hand will not be allowed to enterthe Bingu National Stadium’s Main Gate” said Matola.
