Reshuffle in Malawi Police: Spokesman Gondwa fired

Inspector General of Malawi Police Lexten Kachama has redeployed some of his senior officers from all the regions, including police headquarters in Area 30, Lilongwe and replaced Press and Public Relation Officer.

Nicholas Gondwa who was police spokesman has been fired  from his post and  has been transferred at Area  30  transferred to Mponela.

The new Malawi Police spokesman is former Southern RegionPolice spokesperson James Kadadzera.

Those transferred at Area 30 include  Senior Deputy Commissioner of police for the Central Region Hennings Mlotha  who is  sent to Eastern Region police.

Deputy national police public relations officer  Thomeck Nyaude confirmed the movements, calling them as “normal in the police service.”

Another notable move is that of Willie Mwaluka who for a long time was national police spokesperson transferred from SCDP Eastern Region back to Area 30 as Officer in charge responsible for Inspectorate Unit.

Deputy commissioner of police (DCP), Limbe Police Station officer-in-charge John Nyondo has been transferred from to central region police.

BrenantChitanda (DCP)  has been moved from national police headquarters to central region police.

In the North,  former president’s guard commander  Gerald Mitayi (DCP)  has been transferred from Rumphi  to head Nkhunga Police.

Salima Police Officer- in- Charge Josiah Kanthiti  (DCP ) has been moved to national police headquarters

He has not been fired. The guy has been transferred. Why are sensation? Sometimes I do not understand Nyasa Times reporters.

But is there any progress relating to investigation on criminals who slayed the Salima police woman. Or its another forgotten story. What about a katangale a mma road blocks ndi a traffic panseu. Who is their superior. Surely if there is one he was supposed to be demoted long time ago

A Chikutumbwe can that be a reason for the president to change things in police? Don’t you think you and the Winston Msowoyas with your Kokani will develop ulcers very soon because it looks you are the most affected people with this govt. GONDWA WAS SIMPLY NOT INSPIRING ME AS POLICE PRO. HOW CAN YOU HAVE A NATIONAL POLICE SPOKESPERSON WHO FAILS TO OPEN HIS MOUTH SO THAT HE CAN BE AUDIBLE ENOUGH?
