Rev Desmond Nkhoma laid to rest

Rev. Dr. Desmond Frank Nkhoma, Founder and President of Breath of Life Africa and East  and Central Africa Regional Coordinator at the Mail Box Club in Kenya, was buried Saturday at the Area 18 cemetery in the capital, Lilongwe.

According to a relation, A. Kagona, the reverend developed breathing difficulties in the early hours of Tuesday morning and was taken to Mwayiwathu Hospital in Blantyre where he died.

Delivering his eulogy, a Mr. Zakata, uncle to Desmond Nkhoma, described him as a person who had many responsibilities and that the gap created by his death will be difficult to fill.

He also disclosed that the deceased was a chief in Kasungu.

Rev. Nkhoma worked at Malawi Broadcasting Cooperation, South African Broadcasting Cooperation, Catholic Relief Services, Sub Saharan Family Enrichment, Baptist Media Centre in Blantyre and Life Ministry Malawi.

He also once served as Press Secretary to the then Second Vice President late Chakufwa Chihana.

Born on 26 October 1956, late Desmond Nkhoma is survived by a wife and two children.
