Ria Evans cohabited with Chanthunya in SA- paper

The  Malawian woman who cohabited with murder suspect Misozi Chanthunya in South Africa  is Ria Evans, 22,  the Sunday Times reported.

Chanthunya is the main suspect in the murder of Linda Gasa, a 25-year-old Zimbabwean who was a Malawi College of Accountancy student, who was found entombed in a make-shift crypt at a private cottage in the lake-shore district of Mangochi.

Chanthunya: To face extradition

In an exclusive report headlined  ‘How Chanthunya Was Arrested’, the paper said Chanthunya, was sharing his rented house with Ria.

The paper reported that Malawians gave police a tip-off that Chanthunya – married to Prudence Leboa, a South African –  was staying in Rustenburg in South Africa,

He was arrested by Interpol as he was going to drop children at a school there.

The Malawian woman was then repatriated from South Africa. She is currently helping police with investigations.

President Bingu wa Mutharika’s daughter Duwa, was linked of helping to facilitate Chanthunya to escape from facing justice but she denies the accusations.

Chanthunya is facing extradition from South Africa to face murder charges in Malawi.
