RVG fires keeper-trainer Nyasulu, hires Sanudi

Malawi national team tactician  Ronny Van Geneuden (RVG) has abruptly fired the goalkeeping coach, Phillip Nyasulu and replaced him with Swadick Sanudi.

Swadick Sanudi replaces Nyasulu

Nyasulu was in RVG’s backroom staff appointed by Football Association of Malawi(FAM) whic includes Gerald Phiri as assistant coach,  DeKlerk Nsakakuna (assistant coach) and  team manager Peter Mponda.

The Belgian tactician confirmed that he has sacked Nyasulu and brought in Sanudi, saying the later has relevant qualifications and experience.

RVG is with 26 locally based player for  pre-camp training ahead of the  2019 African Cup of Nations (Afcon) Group B qualifier against the Comoros on June 10.

During a news conference at Mpira Village in Blantyre, RVG said he wants a relatively youthful squad because “young players have the quality to make progression.”

RVG said: “Apart from having technical skills, I wanted players that show they are ready for national duty. I want to create a new team with a new style of play every Malawi an should be familiar with.”

The local-based squad, which has been dominated by Silver Strikers players (six) followed by Be Forward Wanderers and Nyasa Big Bullets (five players apiece), has nine strikers, eight defenders, five midfielders and four goalkeepers.

Good choice and good trainer.
Amidst the highly publicized and exaggerated Bullets’ poor form, Sanudi’s charges at Nyasa Big Bullets have conceded 2 goals ONLY in their recent 4 games. 1 apiece against Moyale Barracks and Silver Strikers.
Bullets’ back line was also the best in all competitions last season.

If we want to see good results leave the coach alone. No interference from FAM top officials.
We need fresh legs that can endure 90 minutes in the field. Some players are old and need to play at local levels only.
Thump Up RVG.

GOOD RVG.
@FAM leave the selection of players and coaching to the coach.Your duty will only be cheching the performance of the team and performance appraisal for the coach.
