‘Secret lovers’ found dead in Rumphi – Malawi Police
A married South African national and his Malawian lover were found dead i at Jalawe in Rumphi the northern district of Malawi where they used to carry on an affair, police have said.
The 65 years old man South African identified as Wilson Mziyane and 39 year olf Elliana Chinula of village headman Irayi in Traditional Authority Mwamulowe in Rumphi district died while sleeping together.
They were found at Fufu Hydroelectric camp at Jalawe where the male deceased was working.
“The two were found dead in a tent where the man was sleeping around 7 am on 21 August this year,” read part of the report.
Locals believe that the couple died as a result of a curse because they were cheating.
However, police said they are still investigating and that the bodies were taken to Mzuzu Central Hospital for postmortem.
