Sex scandal at Livingwaters Church radio, 2 suspended

Living Waters Church Radio Station has suspended two radio announcers on suspicion that they were having sex in the production room while on duty.

The announcers have been identified as programme manage. Kondwani Mkandawire and announcer, Rachael Bwanali.

According to sensational Weekend Times, Station Manager Patrick Kamkwatira confirmed the two have been suspended but refused to give any information saying he was not mandated to speak on behalf of the radio station.

When contacted Bwanali said she had nothing to say on the matter.

“I have nothing to say on the matter so I will make no comment on all the questions that you have asked,” she is quoted to have said.

Attempts to speak to Mkandawire were futile as his mobile phone has been constantly out of reach. A source who works for the radio revealed that the incident happened on New Year’s Eve.

Usually the radio station closes at 8pm but on this special day, it was agreed they would stay on and entertain listeners with music until the New Year.

The two were supposed to end their shift at 10pm. However, around 8pm the two decided to bid farewell to 2011 in a steamy style and decided to release two technical engineers Richard Issa and Zizwani Mbizi to have the production room to themselves.

“After the engineers left, the two decided to enjoy the moment in each other’s bosoms until a guard on routine security check around the premises found them in the act,” a source is quoted to have said.

The newspaper’s source said although the guard revealed the incident to a female pastor, she did not take action until it was reported to Bishop Kaminga who is the overseer of the church.
