Shaping Our Future receives K37.5m from China

The Chinese Government has given Shaping Our Future Foundation (SOFF) K32.7 million for scholarships.
The funds are part of their support towards activities of the organisation which seeks to improve the lives of vulnerable children through education.
Receiving the support during the handover ceremony in Lilongwe on Friday, First Lady Madam Monica Chakwera said with the increase of school fees in various secondary schools, the scholarship has come at a right time and that the foundation will be able to reach out to more.

This year, China has increased the scholarship amount from K27.6 million last year to K32.7 million.
Apart from supporting the Shaping Our Future Foundation, China provides scholarships to more than 100 Malawian university students every year.
