Sheriffs impound Lilongwe City Council vehicles: Court issue garnish order for K10 mil
Sheriffs in Lilongwe on Tuesday impounded two utility vehicles Nissan Hard Body LL 11 and Toyota Hilux BR 163 belonging to Lilongwe City Council following non payment of debts to one of the Lilongwe based businessmen.

Committee Chairperson of Finance in the council Juliana Kaduya confirmed about the incident .
“Yes it is true,” said Kaduya but could not provide further details.
Kaduya said her committee will wait for the report from the Chief Executive.
Meanwhile, reports reaching Nyasa Times, indicate that the money meant for Biwi Clinic amounting to K10 million has been garnished by the High court and later paid out to the debtors.
The Council has suffered a default judgement on a case involving a Malawian of Indian origin who
sued for loss of property .
Lilongwe City Council CEO Zeleza Moza could not pick up his phone for his comment.
