Silver suffers shocking defeat to Dwangwa
Central Region giants Silver Strikers Football Club on Sunday suffered a 1-0 shocking defeat against less fancied Dwangwa United away at the Chitowe Stadium.
Chifuniro Mpinganjira scored the all important goal that earned the Dwangwa Cane growers vital maximum points.
The win has helped them to move to position 13 having accumulated 18 points from 19 games.
Blue Eagles F.C have also climbed to second position following their 1-0 win over Mighty Tigers thanks to a lone strike from captain Micium Mhone.
Moyale Barracks drew 0-0 against Savenda Chitipa United while TN Stars and Masters Security played out a 1-1 draw.
Jabes Tchokhotho scored for TN Stars while Martin Nsewa conceded an own goal.
Meanwhile, Mighty Be Forward Wanderers who on Saturday labored to beat debutants Ntopwa FC 1-0 still lead the race with 39 points from 17 points followed by Blue Eagles who have 34 points from 18 games.
Nyasa Big Bullets are third with 32 points, Kamuzu Barracks fourth with 31 points while Silver Strikers completes the top five list with 29 points from 17 games.
Ntopwa FC, Masters Security and Mlatho Mponela occupy positions 13 to 15 respectively.
