According to Sulom Treasurer Tiya Somba-Banda, the home team will be Bullets FC, which comes from the southern region.

“Yes I can confirm that the launching ceremony will see Big Bullets battling it out with Silver Strikers at Civo stadium.

“Although the game will be played in the central region, which is the base for Silver Strikers, the home will be Bullets FC and an away game for Silver Strikers,” said Somba-Banda.

Somba-Banda said TNM and Sulom are jointly working together on what to constitute the programme of the launch.

At the moment, he said, they are looking forward to printing a booklet for all first round fixtures.

Limbani Nsapato who is TNM’s Communications Manager said initially the launching ceremony was supposed to take place in the commercial city of Blantyre but had to be shifted to Lilongwe following a meeting with the league administrators.

“We are now working on what to constitute the programme of the launch” said Nsapato.

He however refused to comment on the sponsorship package saying it will be unpacked at a press conference to be held soon.

“We will arrange a special press conference where management will announce the new package and also details as to the duration of the contract” he said.--Additional reporting by Yankho Msukwa, Nyasa Times
