Silver, Wizards share the spoils: Malawi TNM Super League

Silver Strikers  failed to bag a win in their TNM Super League tie  in Blantyre   as they drew 0-0 against Premier Bet Wizards  on Sunday  afternoon at the Mpira Village Stadium in Chiwembe.

The bankers, who have gone two games without any victory  are still stuck on position five with 44 points   from 25 games, while Wizards FC are on number 13 with 25 games.

As both sides tried to settle down in the match, there were no clear cut opportunities in the opening 10 minutes with the only shot coming from Green Harawa  which lacked poison.

The bankers  came to the encounter eyeing for a  win, after the disappointing result in the previous match against Kamuzu Barracks where they lost 4-2.

Striker Green Harawa took a shot in the 16th minute, but it went wide and failed to troube Wizards goalkeeper.

In the 24th minute, Wizards striker  tried a shot to beat  Silver keeper  but the bankers   net minder easily collected the ball.

However, Harawa received a great pass from Blessings Tembo but his last shot was too weak that it could not even break an ice cream.

As both sides came back from the tunnel, the hosts were the better side but they lacked the killer punch upfront.

The bankers have another tricky fixture this weekend, as they hosts Red Lions, while Wizards will take on Azam Tigers at Kamuzu Stadium.
