Skeffa launches ‘Chinamuluma Chakuda’ album November 29

Skeffa Chimoto’s new album “Chinamula Chakuda” has been scheduled to be released and launched on November 29 in Blantyre.

After launching the album in Blantyre on November 29, he will re-launch it in Zomba on 30 November and lastly in Lilongwe on December 1 at the newly launched Waka Waka Hotel.

The album which has 11 tracks has already seen the release of four promotional songs which are currently enjoying the airplay in local radio stations. In an  interview , Chimoto said that since the release of the promotion songs he has received overwhelming response from the public as well as his fellow musicians.

“I can say that the response has been overwhelming, in just two weeks I have released the four promotional songs for airplay, many people have been giving me positive feedback which gives me hope that this album will sell well on the market,” he explained In his words, he described the new albums theme as Love, saying that almost all the songs in the album are centered with love messages.

He therefore asked for support from Malawians to continue buying original music and avoid piracy which is destroying the music industry. “I can tell you that just the four songs I have released some already have them in their phones and homes and you tend to wonder how they got them when you only sent them to radio stations.

“But I believe that there are still some Malawians who are human and believe in original material so I encourage them to continue doing that,” said Chimoto. He went on to say that piracy is a difficult battle to beat and therefore he believes in capitalizing more on live shows which he says that no one can pirate from him.

On artists who will spice up his album launch, he said that at the moment the Black Missionaries and Piksy have confirmed to be part of the supporting artists and that he still consulting with other artists.

The Four songs that have been released for promotion are “Dalitsani wachikondi wanga,” “Ndilandileni”, “Neneleni “and “Chinamuluma Chakuda” the title track of the album. Chimoto has four albums to hiscredit, “Wekha”, “Nabola Moyo”, “Tisawanyoze”, “Ndife Amodzi” and “Chinamuluma Chakuda.”
