MANEB Public Relations Officer, Simeon Maganga told Nyasa Times such confidential information is only meant for a school administering the 2014 practical subjects.

“His school did not have required facilities to allow its candidates take practical papers there hence their use of Ndirande Hill Secondary School instead which was the right authority to collect confidential instructions,” Maganga said.

Blantyre police spokesperson Elizabeth Divala said Kasiya on Friday and has since been charged with gaining access to examination materials Contrary to Section 14 (2a) of MANEB Act.

Should he be convicted by the court of law, he could be sentenced to 10 years imprisonment with hard labour (IHL) and to pay K300,000.
