South Africa gospel star Sipho Makhabane to spice up Great Angel Choir’s website launch

South African celebrated gospel artist, Sipho Makhabane has confirmed his planned performance in the country to spice up website launch of the popular choral grouping, The Great Angel launch on September 29th this year.

Makhabane who calls himself South Africa’s ‘Big Fish’ is main curtain-raiser for the show set for Bingu International Conference Center (BICC) in the capital city of Lilongwe in the evening of September 29th.

In a promotion video recording Nyasa Times has seen, Makhabane confirmed of his coming and urged Malawian gospel fanatics to be ready for the show.

And Great Angels Choir Music Director, William Zonda promised fans of an event of high standard with no other performances apart from Makhabane and the choir itself.

“He is coming with his full band. People do complain when we have a long list of performers, therefore it will be the choir and Sipho Makhabane performing to ensure the audience enjoys maximum performances,” said Zonda.

It is for the first time for a local choral group to invite such renowned music artist, and it will be for the first time for a gospel music outfit in the country to have a website.

“The website is designed to ensure our fans are able to access information and music by Great Angels Choir. Its first of its kind in the history of gospel music in Malawi,” he added.

Great Angels is one of the leading choirs in the country with best-selling albums such as ‘Ndiyende Bwanji’, ‘Mundifungatile’, and ‘Gwireni Dzanja’, which contains a popular song ‘Paine Ndekha Sindingathe’.
