Sparc Systems and US Embassy explore tech and skills partnership
Sparc Systems Limited is building closer ties with the United States Embassy in Malawi, with both sides pledging to explore collaboration on technology, innovation, entrepreneurship and skills development.

The engagement follows a visit by a senior Embassy delegation to Sparc’s head offices on Thursday, November 5, 2026.
The delegation was led by Deputy Public Affairs Officer Arshelle Carter and included the Embassy’s newly appointed Public Affairs Officer, Amy Petersen.
The visit was part of the Embassy’s ongoing engagement with private-sector firms driving digital transformation and economic development in the region.
The delegation took part in the SPARC Innovation Space Acceleration Programme final pitch, where young Malawian entrepreneurs presented business ideas with the potential to grow into sustainable ventures.
Tase Phiri, Territory Manager for the Malawi and Mozambique Cluster, gave an overview of Sparc’s operations, regional footprint and growth plans.
He highlighted the company’s ability to deliver enterprise-grade technology solutions across Africa.
Phiri described the visit as a step towards a lasting partnership that could open new opportunities for the company and the entrepreneurs it supports.
“We are delighted by the U.S. Embassy’s commitment to working with us. Their willingness to connect Sparc Systems with foundations, investors and American companies opens a new chapter for our company and, more importantly, for the innovators and entrepreneurs we serve,” he said.
Petersen praised the creativity and enthusiasm of the pitch participants, saying the energy and innovation on display were “truly inspiring.”
She also described Sparc as a valuable partner in advancing innovation, skills development and economic growth.
The engagement, the company says, opens a route for Malawian innovators to reach international networks, investors, foundations and technology companies.
