Sparc Systems Limited has committed K20 million to the ICT Association of Malawi (ICTAM) 20th Anniversary Conference and Annual General Meeting as a gold sponsor.

Tech firm says it’s backing the ICT body’s big milestone as Malawi’s digital community gathers for three days of innovation and talk

The company said the sponsorship is aimed at advancing Malawi’s technology sector and supporting institutions that drive the country’s digital transformation.

Sparc Systems country manager Tase Phiri said the company’s focus is on innovation, strengthening local capabilities and building partnerships.

“Supporting Ictam’s 20th Anniversary Conference goes beyond celebrating an institutional milestone. It is an investment in the continued development of Malawi’s ICT profession and the broader technology ecosystem,” she said in a statement.

ICTAM General Manager Andrew Kamwendo said Sparc Systems had supported the association over the years, contributing to its growth and achievements.

“They have stood with us, supported us and carried us on their shoulders. Without partners such as them, we would not be where we are today, celebrating 20 years of advancing ICT excellence in Malawi,” he said.

Sparc Systems is a pan-African ICT firm with operations in Malawi, Zambia, Rwanda, Tanzania and Mozambique.

It provides enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, software development, data centre management and technical training.

The conference will be held at Sunbird Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi District from November 11 to 14 under the theme “Honouring our legacy, inspiring innovation and shaping Malawi’s digital future”.
