Standard Bank launches Khaa-Your247 promotion to drive digital payments
Standard Bank Malawi has launched a new biller transaction promotion dubbed ‘Khaa! Your247’ to encourage its customers to embrace digital banking and use the bank’s 247 platforms to pay their everyday bills.

Speaking during the launch of the promotion at Chichiri Shopping Mall in Blantyre, Standard Bank’s Head of Transaction Banking Pherandawa Nyirenda said that the initiative is part of the Bank’s commitment to making banking more convenient, secure and accessible for its customers.
“At Standard Bank we recognize that in this digital era, it is our duty to give our customers the freedom to access financial services whenever and wherever they are through convenient, secure and efficient channels.
“And that is why we continue to invest in digital solutions such as the 247 App, 247 Online and 247 Mobile to make banking easier and more accessible”, he said.
He added that through the new promotion, the Bank also intends to contribute towards the growth of a cashless culture while at the same time giving back to its customers.
“Under this promotion, we will be giving back to our customers through numerous exciting prizes they will win just by paying bills through our 247 platform, taking our customers to great heights but beyond the prizes lies an even bigger purpose, which is to contribute towards a culture where digital and cashless transactions become the preferred way of paying for everyday services’, Nyirenda said.
Under this promotion, customers stand a chance to win a share of MK46 million over the four-month campaign period running from September to December.
Monthly prizes include MK200,000 worth of electricity and water tokens and MK100,000 cash prizes awarded to 30 winners each month. At the end of the promotion, three lucky customers will walk away with the grand prizes of MK15 million, MK10 million and MK5 million respectively.
The 247 platforms enable customers to make bill payments such as ESCOM, Water Board, Malawi Revenue Authority, DSTV/GOtv, and Medical Aid Society of Malawi, giving customers a wide range of everyday services for which they can transact digitally.
