Standard Bank of Malawi opens Mlambe suite for private and executive bankers

 Standard Bank Malawi has opened Mlambe banking suite meant for private and executive bankers to provide them with a lifestyle and financial requirements befitting their taste.

Speaking during the opening of the suite last Thursday, Standard Bank Malawi Chief Executive Officer Charles Mudiwa said the Mlambe suite provides a queue-less banking, exception customer service as well as a dedicated service to private bankers.

“We realise that you are very busy people with more important things that should demand your time that is why we are offering you our unique packaged banking solutions that ensure that you focus on what is core to your daily occupation and attainment of your dreams,” said Mudiwa.

Unveiling the new Mlambe Suite Finance Minister Ken Lipenga hailed Standard Bank for being innovative as well as its significant contribution toward the infrastructure development of the country through its numerous branches that are spread across the country.

“We are here tonight to unveil the Mlambe Suite which you have custom built for your high net-worth individuals. This suite speaks of your continued quest to innovate as you continuously seek to answer how else we can move our customers forward. I am informed that this suite is high class and will offer world class banking, with the ambience befitting the segment of customers you will be serving in this exclusive club,” said Lipenga.

He said the unveiling of Mlambe Suite marked another milestone in the bank’s presence in Malawi.

“Government is grateful to Standard Bank for being an active player in the development of this country. In the past 42 years that you have been in operation in Malawi both as Commercial Bank and now Standard Bank you have made tremendous contribution to the country. You have made a significant contribution to the infrastructure development of the country through your points of representation that are spread throughout the country. Not only that Standard Bank has been in the lead in the financing of fertilizer imports, both commercial and towards FISP into the country to support the Agriculture sector,” said Lipenga.

The suite, among others will provide private banking service, transactional services, international services, international visa debit card, online banking solutions, asset finance solutions and banc assurance solutions.
