With only two  games to spare before the first half of the 2017 TNM Super League comes to an end, the league’s governing body, the Super League Association of MalawI ( SULOM) has said there will be no break to some of the teams that finished the first round assignments way back.

Silver to challenge Wanderers for the top spot
Confirming the development to Nyasa Times, SULOM”s Secretary Williams Banda said the second round will immediately commence on 9 September, 2017.
“Yes I can confirm that we won’t have a break as some thought we may. We have done that to ensure that our football calendar is properly followed. As such we will proceed with games beginning the 9 September particularly to teams that finished their first round assignment’s earlier,” said Banda.
Meanwhile, ahead of the final 2 first round fixtures this coming weekend, the SULOM General Secretary says they expect thrilling matches especially the one between Be Forward Wanderers and Silver Strikers.
“It will be a nice weekend as both Wanderers and Silver Strikers knows what is at stake. We will give K1 million to the team that finishes top and that is a strong  motivation to the two teams ahead of their meeting at the Bingu National Stadium,” said the SULOM General Secretary.
On Saturday, Nyasa Big Bullets welcomes Azam Tigers at the Chilomoni Stadium before Wanderers play host to Silver 24 hours later at the BNS.
Wanderers currently are at the summit of the TNM log table with 34 points, 2 ahead of Silver and whoever wins on Sunday will finish top of the table at first half of the season.
