Super League of Malawi to employ commercial manager
Super League of Malawi (SULOM) in a commercialization drive has taken the first step towards the revamping the secretariat by seeking recruit commercial manager.
SULOM General Secretary Williams Banda described the move to employ the manager part of their strategic pan meant to growing the revenue base, increasing football audience and exposing brand and producers of our sponsors.
SULOM Vice-President Daud Suleman said it is part of the implementation of the SULOM President Innocent Bottoman’s manifesto.
“As you aware that SULOM is implementing the Bottoman manifesto the commercialization drive can only be realised if we have a sound marketing department,” Suleman said.
The suitable candidate must have at least a Diploma in Marketing and will be responsible for coordinating marketing, commercial, communication and promotion activities related to SULOM.
The Manager to be reporting to the General Secretary will also be charge with increasing revenue, from tickets, broadcasting rights and match attendance at league games.
Interested candidates should apply before May 20
SULOM just as its affiliates, clubs, have no meaningful marketing and commercialization drive.
The country’s top league governing body was thriving on gate collections and TNM subvention from TNM sponsorship for administration .
During the launch of his manifesto bid Bottoman also promised to own a building for the secretariat currently renting offices in Blantyre having relocated from Chiwembe Technical Development Centre after falling out with Football Association of Malawi.
