Swag yaKabaza music video out: Slessor highlights transport woes

One of the country’s Hip-Hop artists, Slessor has taken a new dimension in his music career as he tackles problems commuters experience in Swag yaKabaza.

The song released on Friday together with its video is yet to take Malawi music by storm based on the relevance of issues highlighted.

Swag yaKabaza talks about the day to day struggles of Malawian commuters with main focuse on transport costs especially minibus and bus fares.

”Its the moment I felt as an artist I need to tackle some of these issues in a creative way. Usually such topics are ignored by urban artists and yet we all experience these problems,” explained Slessor.

The video is expected to hit all local major TV stations soon.

Swag yaKabaza is Slessor’s second release this year. His first release “To the Top” featured a Zimbabwean artist, Kapital K.

Slessor born Slessor Munthali, is a Malawian hip-hop artist currently working under HB Records. He is a rapper/singer/songwriter who has been active in the music industry since the year 2009.

His previous releases include ‘Phwando La Lero’, ‘Heart Breaker’ and ‘Wa Matama’ featuring Krazy G and Tanaposi.

The artist released his mixtape ‘Renaissance’ under HB Records in February, 2014.
