Take Joyce Banda as Queen Elizabeth, Natasha advises Malawians
The recently evicted Malawian Big Brother Africa (BBA) The Chase representative, Natasha Tonthola, has advised Malawians to respect President Joyce Banda as the world respects Queen Elizabeth of the Great Britain.
In an interview Tonthola said that it is very disappointing to see some Malawians not respecting the Head of State because she is a woman.
“Malawians should learn at once to respect Dr. Joyce Banda. Why spending time accusing her that she is a broom, a mandasi seller? This is total disgrace. Learn to appreciate the good things our president is doing,” she said.
She said no matter the circumstances, there will only be one president at a time and currently, it is Dr. Joyce Banda who is leading the country.
Tonthola advised Malawians to stop being jealousy of the President because she is a lady but rather learn to respect her and appreciate her sacrificial efforts she is taking to develop this nation.
“She is one of the most powerful and influential women in the world and that should make every Malawian Proud. Hatred and the act of undermining each other will not take us anywhere but it will just hinder various developments that can lift Malawi up the ladder,” she emphasised.
The evicted Chasemate went ahead to advice women in the country who have a pull down syndrome to stop it for the sake of development, saying that syndrome is nothing but ignorance and retards development.
“Her Excellency Dr. Joyce Banda has done a lot to stabilise the economy of this country, and she is still spending sleepless nights in order to develop this nation but instead of fellow women to supporting her, they are criticising her and planning her downfall. This should stop at once,” she said.
Tonthola made this call after numerous allegations that some Malawians, mostly women, are busy castigating Banda that she is a broom and not a leader.
Recently, the President also made a call in Thyolo when she was elevating Chief Thomas and Chief Chimaliro to senior chiefs that she is a determined and visionary leader not a broom as some people are putting it.
Tonthola who was evicted in the BBA house some weeks ago revealed that she will, during the forthcoming tripartite elections, contest as a Member of Parliament (MP) in Balaka North constituency on a People’s Party (PP) ticket.
