First deputy speaker of parliament Dr Clement Chiwaya has announced that he would not seek re-election as member of parliament...
Let us not agitate for SKC to work in isolation with isolation aged. APM is making good approach. Remember what happened when JB flooded leadership positions to the youth after the demise of Bingu, the youth started sharing state resources like mangoes, others went to an extent of shooting each other. So let’s sober up my fellow youth.

Mapyiya M: piece well written, and you drive your point(s) home alright. BUT, I suggest you and others are focusing on the wrong factor: age of our leaders. It appears to me this age thing is the new polemic from detractors. Isn’t experience the best teacher? It (experience) and knowledge are what we should be looking for in future leaders. So, VP Chilima can run for the… Read more »
Some sense at last.
its just not about the age but political and economic will. At the time they were assuming office, older Presidents like Mahathir of Malaysia then you have young leaders like Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore who all developed their countries.
So its more down to the individual rather than just age.
That sounds good but we have to start somewhere then consider ways of dry cleaning our morals and values for rest of Malawians. For real one individual is not enough to bring desired changes – we all need to play a role.
Kenya has had young leaders.. since when??
Moi.. Odinga… Kenyatta.. all old!
(Well, of course everybody was young once.. but not during most of their time in real power..)
Complete meandering of an artile. Does not make any sense. Argument utterly silly.
Wind of change across the African continent in general. Wind of change across Malawi in particular. Should Muthalika and his Octogenarian cronies dare stand, the the youths of Malawi will severely bruise them through the ballot. I can imagine the worst defeat to a sitting president
Vote rigging…
Plain and simple..
