A Tanzanian Choir from Illeje District in Tanzania Sunday launched a DVD titled ‘Ukuwapi Mwanadamu’ which is translated in English as ‘where are you going?’ at Moravian Church in Mzuzu City.

According to the sponsor of the choir by the name Straightway Choir, Reverend Noah Mushani, said the purpose of launching the DVD in Mzuzu was to share the Word of God with Malawian Christians.

“As a gospel choir of Moravian Church in Tanzania, we believe that we can reach many people with the gospel of Jesus Christ through music, hence our decision to launch the DVD in Malawi.

“In addition, our visit here in Malawi will strengthen the relationship which exists with fellow Christians in the country,” said Rev Mushani.

The Reverend then urged choir members from both Malawian and Tanzanian Moravian churches to join hands in spreading the gospel through music.

In his remarks, Reverend Maurice Chikhawo of Mzuzu Moravian Congregation said it was a great honour to Mzuzu Moravian Church to host the Tanzanian Choir.

“We feel honoured to have these visitors here at Mzuzu Moravian church. When they told us that they were coming to launch their album here, we could not believe because it costs a lot of money to travel such a long distance.

“Now that they are here today as they promised, we are so happy for this,” said Reverend Chikhawo.

The album, which has nine songs, will be sold at Mzuzu Moravian Church and other marketing places at a price of K1, 500 per DVD.
