TB Joshua clarifies prophesy on death of President
The Synagogue Church of All Nations (Socan) in Nigeria has clarifies about a prophecy made by Prophet TB Joshua that an old African dictator is dying, saying he did not give a time frame.
In a statement made available to Nyasa Times, the Synagogue church also underlined that TB Joshua who is renowned for making other predictions has not disclosed the name of the African president.
But many Malawians rushed to suggest during their comments on Nyasa Times story that it could be President Bingu wa Mutharika, 79, while in Zimbabwe they linked the prophecy to Robert Mugabe who is currently Africa’s oldest presidential ruler. Apparently, Mugabe and Mutharika are political allies.
The prophecy
The statement quoted Prophet TB Joshua prophesies: “We should pray for one African head of state, president, against sickness that will likely take life. It is a sickness for a long time – being kept in the body for a long time.
“God showed me the country and the place but I’m not here to say anything like that. I am still praying to God to deliver the president concerned.”
TB Joshua’s church clarified that the prophet “did not say when the leader would die; he did not say that the leader must die; he did not give the name of the country the leader was from. He only said that we should pray for him.”
‘Potential candidates’
Other aged African leaders that come to mind are Senegal’s 85-year-old Abdoulaye Wade. The octogenarian leader has come under pressure at home and abroad over his bid for a third term in thet Feb. 26 polls breaches rules setting a two-term limit.
Paul Biya of Cameroon is 79, has ruled for more than three decades, and has shown no intention of leaving.
Zambia’s new president Michael Sata is an elderly 75-year-old and has been reported to suffer several ailments. But Sata is not in the league of dictators.

The Synagogue statement also says that all prophecies made by Prophet Joshua are broadcast live on Emmanuel TV and subsequently posted on the station’s website www.emmanuel.tv.
So popular is TB Joshua that many Malawians including State Vice President Joyce Banda have been flying to Nigeria visiting his church to be prayed for.
TB Joshua is accredited for prophesying the election of Ghana’s John Atta Mills, the death of pop king Michael Jackson among others.
