In a bid to strengthen fight against Covid -19 pandemic, Tobacco Commission (TC) on Saturday donated K10 million materials towards fighting the pandemic.

He said: “We are in state of national disaster and every time the State President goes on TV, he appeals for donation that is why we thought of buying the equipment and donate towards the fight,”

“This mutual relationship incited us donate flowmeters amounting to K6,104, 999.94, Oxygen gas refill 10 Kg amounting to K3,958, 877.18 all amounting to K10,063,877.13,” said Malunga.

Receiving the donation, president of Society of Medical Doctors in Malawi Dr Victor Mithi,
commended TC for the donation.
“We are very happy for the donation by the Tobacco Commission these people has made our job very easier and our stand remains the same that we should be allowing organisations to buy the equipment themselves,” he said.
