hhmdidi, what is your personal definition of development if you feel football in Malawi is not an area of development? The sad thing you have done is simply to to make the argument, but not offering a sound solution as a thing or things that we can put our energy on. This is not the essence of argument and this is why the opposition in the country is considered weak and unproductive because when they criticize the government, they don’t offer alternatives. If you didn’t understand, I said football is one of the development areas. The important phrase is …… Read more »
Ramadhan should not even be given the chance of a caretaker. The best thing to do is to advertise the post or begin scouting for a national coach with a track record. What is the Ministry of Sports doing in this instance? In the past some coaches were coming from developed countries on bilateral relations when they get paid a salary by their government sand the Malawi government provided housing, transportation, cook, and security. Why can’t the Ministry negotiate with its counterparts through the embassies as this is one of the development areas that equally needs serious attention? FAM could… Read more »
“as this is one of the development areas that equally needs serious attention” Is this really an area of development that needs serious attention? Come-on Gogodasi!! What are you talking about? There are myriad issues that need attention and not football, it has never brought us anything! The best we can do as a country is to disband our football team and concentrate on other things we can do better on!
Kinnah Phiri has to be reappointed as the Flames coach bcoz he is the only coach who did the great job for the team. He is such a genius coach, during his time we never lost matches in competitive matches at home, he knows how to get the best out of players
after 6 months when ramadan is the coach, there will be calls for his firing mark my words ndithu
I said it before and I say it again that Mtawali was never to make make it. Its time to disband the Flames staff and players and start afresh in 2019. WHAT A DISGRACE and the these players never have a heart of pride to wear the national colors on the field of play. Clueless coach and his bench staffers and nothing you have achieved. Don’t renewal their contracts. Its time up. I will see you on the next page.
Kinnah destroyed the team.
This is not a solution at all.
Unfortunately Mtawali is just a victim of circumstances. He is forced to shoulder Nyamirandu’s underperformance. It is him and his entourage that requires sacking. How do you blame an architect who is employed without proper tools? How many managers is the National Sports Council going to employ before nipping the root cause of these substandard results? Those at this council have a problem and we as tax payers need good answers.
Firing of coaches will solve nothing. Vuto lili ndi mabwana a mpira. You lack vision.
But this one deserve to go!
