Head teacher for Namatapa school Vincent Jimu said six learners from his institution were involved in the fatality.

The truck registration number RU3575 belonging Trans Roberio was travelling from Lilongwe to dispatch maize at ProtoFeeds in Bangwe.

Jimu accused the truck driver, John Bizwick, of using the narrow road, saying “ the road that branches off from Mpingwe ti too close to the school.”

He warned that there should be preventative measurers  on the narrow road to prevent more accident.

Another pupil who narrowly escaped death said she had to do a big dive in her bid to avoid being crushed by the truck.

” I would have been dead by now,” said the pupil who was only identified as Alinafe.

Eye witnesses said some people took advantage of the accident  to loot maize and spare parts from the truck.

The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries and fled the scene of the accident.

RIP; Again no pictures of tragic dead bodies published, well done!!! Does this mean the message has finally got home? Or you just couldn’t access them ?
But seriously, the habit of publishing victims’ dead bodies need to stop. It’s not right

This is sad
I notice trucks pass through residential areas. I hope this should be stoped.
In Lilongwe that SANA Shopping Center, children play center, just next to the road is just something I wonder who actually approved this at the City Offices. This is just another accident to happen. Please those in authority lets get that play center away from the road side.
