It never rains for President Peter Mutharika’s son Tadikira, Safemotherhood Executive Director Chimwemwe Chipungu and Chris Kandulu of Foreign Affairs Ministry as Malawi Defense Force intelligence, Police and other law enforcers pounced on them, following their questional discussion with business tycoons  in a jet that landed at Kamuzu International Airpot this week .

Mkondiwa: Chief Secretary says no plans to buy president a plane

Nyasa Times investigation has  established that  President Mutharika is angry with what Chipungu, and his step  son did by boarding the plane on “test flying” on the pretext that government wants to buy the plane for the President.

The President  has since  instructed the Malawi Defense Force and Police to deal with the matter  accordingly for using his name and that of the government to advance their personal interests.

Sources said Malawi Defense Force Intelligence officers and Deputy Inspector General of Police Rodney Jose summoned the trio which brands itself  as “Clean Money Clue” (CMC) to a closed meeting  where they wanted to establish why these three called upon a South African business tycoon with his jet on allegation that Malawi government wanted to buy it through them.

The plane, 650 Golf Alpha belonging to a company known as Golf Stream landed at KIA from Rwanda.

Nyasa Times understands that President Mutharika feels injured by the claims that he wants to buy a jet.

Chief Secretary to the government George Mkondiwa has also summoned the three to explain themselves.

Insiders said government has sent some officials from the Malawi Army intelligence to South Africa where they are likely to meet the Jet owners to establish what really transpired before taking further action.

Mkondiwa said it is clear that government does not want to buy a presidential jet.

Do you mean “crew”? Paja a Malawi R ndi L amakuvutani.

Something does not add up! How did a foreign enter Malawi Airspace and land at a Malawi Airport without authorisation? This is normally not possible unless the authorities that be were asleep! And having landed how come it was allowed to fly up again and the land back? And how was it allowed to fly off and “concerns” only made after the strange plane was gone? It makes one think this was all staged, and authorities pretended ignorance. Possible reason for it would be to create impression that authorities are not happy with the 3 “loan players”, which is highly… Read more »

But it entered landed and stayed hours while they were negotiating and no body noticed??? You aee very very stupid to believe that we will buy this garbage.
