Two Malawian players, Joel Chipofya and Chikondi Likwemba have signed a six months contract with a Zimbabwean cash-rich premiership newboys FC Platinum.

Likwemba and Chipofya were playing for a South African lower side FC AK before joining the Zimbabwean top out-fit.

In a Facebook interview with Nyasa Times, from Harare, Likwemba said: “I can indeed confirm to you that we are now playing for FC Platinum. Everything is going on smoothly and we are optimistic that our contract will be extended.”

Chipofya: I have signed for FC Platinum of Zimbabwe

Concurring with Likwemba was Chipofya, who said:” I have no difficulties in adapting their style of playing because the team is coached by my former coach at Wanderers Rahaman Ghumbo.”

The former Mighty Wanderers right winger said that Ghumbo being his former mentor knows what he wants in the field of play.

Currently, Platinum, which was promoted in the Zimbabwean top league this season is leading the log table and is tipped to win the league title this season after they raided the transfer market to capture big name players on the domestic soccer scene, according to The Zimbabwean.
