Lilongwe Police Station Public Relations Officer (PRO) Inspector Kingsley Dandaula identified the two as Godfrey Kisame 39 and Jackson Chikume 33 both from Uganda residing at Chinsapo 2 in the city of Lilongwe.

“The two Ugandans went to Thapasila Wakisa’s house at area 24 Monday morning at around 6.00 am and waited for the victim to come out at his gate and as he was about to drive out the gate the suspects pulled out a Pistol and told him to come out of the his car and managed to get the vehicle and drove away,” said Dandaula.

The Police PRO said Wakisa who is a businessperson went back to the house and got into another vehicle and started chasing the Ugandans.

“He chased them along the Lilongwe Bunda Bypass road and when the suspects realised that they were being chased they stopped and pulled out the Pistol and pointed it at him. Coincidentally, there was a 990 Police patrol vehicle within the vicinity which blocked and stopped the suspects in the stolen Noah motor vehicle,” said Dandaula adding that the Police found them with a Pistol with four rounds of ammunitions.

Meanwhile the two Ugandans are in Police custody and have been charged with robbery with violence contrary to section 301 of the penal code and theft of motor vehicle contrary to section 309 of the penal code.

Arrest even the victim of the robbery. He is one of the thugs. Why didn’t they shoot at him? Why did he have such courage to chase the robbers up to that extent? Stupid foreigners denting the image of bonafide Malawians and stupid Malawians destroying their own country because of corruption and greed.
