UDF Governor denies attacking Atupele at Lucius Banda rally
United Democratic Front (UDF) District Governor for Balaka Ngwangwa, Saidi Mdogo has distanced himself from statement he is alleged to have made at a rally address by Balaka North parliamentarian, Lucius Banda criticising the party president Atupele Muluzi.
Mdogo said he was surprised that some supporters were asking him about his comment when he did not at any time made can statement apparently attributed to him.
” As a District Governor for Ngwangwa and my committee we have no problems with our president and there is no way I can attack him,” aid Mdogo.
He said that on the said day the MP for the constituency had some activities and he had to attend in his capacity as District Governor.
Mdogo said that he has intructions from the party to attend meetings addressed by the MP or party officials in the area and that he was simply fulfilling that.
However, Mdogo said he is now becoming suspicious considering the reporting that came out of the Sunday meeting which he said was attended by a small crowd because it was not a big rally as it is being portrayed.
The District Governor said his loyalty is to the UDF party and it’s leadership and that if he had problems he would not voice them on a public rally.
He said as person who has been in the party since its conception he understands his role and would not allow to be used to destroy the party through what he called irresponsible public statements.
The governor warned that from the look of things he is aware of the archtech of such propaganda and that he will give a report to the party.

It is common knowledge that pipo in ur constituency voted for UDF!!! Any traces that are contrary to the party beliefs and procedures will only… Read more »
You seem to be contradicting yourself Mandaaliza. Don’t you see that even your party president is towing another party line by joining Dpp. Lucius is the one sticking to UDF. Atupele has abandoned UDF.
