Uladi calls for mass voter registration to give JB Malawi presidency beyond 2014
Malawians throughout the country have been urged to register to vote in the next year’s tripartite elections so as to safeguard the gains of economic recovery and democracy under President Joyce Banda.
Home Affairs Minister Uladi Mussa, who addressed a rally in his Salima south constituency when President Banda commissioned Mapeto Cotton Ginnery Mill , said those eligible to vote should register so as to ensure the full gains of the economic revival are safeguarded.
Mussa – an acclaimed political orator- hailed President Banda for her visionary leadership.
He called on the people to support the President and vote her back into office in 2014.
Mussa encouraged governing People’s Party (PP) supporters and Malawians to register as voters so that they can exercise their birthright to choose a councillor, MP and President at the polls.
Political parties are on an all-out voter registration crusade with Malawi Electoral Commission having launched a media campaign to encourage the electorate to register ahead of tripartite elections next year.
