UTM National Youth Forum donates food items at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital
Whatsapp group based UTM National Youth Forum has on Saturday donated assorted food and other items worthy K1.8 Milion to over 50 patients and guardians at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre.

Speaking during the distribution UTM National Youth Forum acting chair Andrew Kenneth Mlumbe said as members of UTM they believe in promoting unity and solidarity among people as such they thought it wise that it’s good to give back to the community realizing that people that are in the hospital are the same people that contribute to development of the country.
“The donation is the sign of loving and caring towards different kind of people, it’s so important to do so because they are the same people that play a vital law in politics, we should not only focus of having their votes instead it’s very important to look after their lives as well,” said Mlumbe.
He added that youth should be in the forefront in helping communities’ whether through politics, religious and traditionally citing that young people’s enthusiasm and innovation can be an important driver for change, especially when channelled through participatory methods that combine their passion with the experience of older political players and decision makers.
