VP Kachali shakes Ntchisi: Declares JB to win Malawi 2014 polls

Thousands of people including over 200 Gule Wankulu dancers on Saturday converged at Malomo ground in Ntchisi where Vice President Khumbo Kachali addressed a rally and declared that President Joyce Banda will win next years general elections.

“They come to you thinking they can fool Malawians that they have changed. Someone was desperate for a third term and he is now using his son. Someone is hopelessly trying to fit in by pretending to board minibuses. When they come receive what they give you, fly their flags and get paid but in 2014 let us vote Joyce Banda and PP parliamentarians,” said Kachali who to whom a highly charged crowd responded “amai omwewo mavoti wa wa wa.”

Kachali said President Joyce Banda will open the tobacco auction floors on Monday and prices were expected to be more improved than last year and stabilize some of the factors that were causing run away inflation.

“Your President was born, raised and grew up in Malawi, she does not need to pretend to know what you are experiencing, she understands and your pain is her pain, your joy is her joy. Ngwembe said the late Kamuzu Banda did not appoint any family member from Kasungu to succeed him as be knew it was a choice that only people are supposed to choose leaders.

“Central Region bwana Veep is now home to Peoples Party because of how Dr Banda Joyce has treated us. We have Ministers almost from every district in the region, agriculture has improved and we are respected as equals in the political arena” said Ngwembe whose spicy Chewa proverbs saw him being given a standing ovation.

PP Director of Women Edith Ntunga, Director of Elections Zelesi Gomani, Nec member
Charles Ngopi and TA Chilowoko said the huge crowd at the rallies addressed by Kachali were indicative of the PP strength in the region.

“No trucks have brought these people here, in 2009 you came here and asked us to vote for Bingu and Joyce Banda, we listened to you, they ¬†chased you but you stood by Amai in trouble, we have opened Mzinda to salute you and Amai and assure you that you have votes here,” said Chilowoko.
