Wanderers coach claim strike Dzimbiri a national team material

Mighty Wanderers Coach Gerald Phiri claims striker Innocent Dzimbiri is one of the locally based strikers that has a potential and can sail through to play for the national team if he follow the instructions given to him.

Phiri few weeks ago urged Dzimbiri to lose weight and put him on special treatment or else forget game time at the Lali Lubani outfit.
Alongside him was Victor Mpinganjira, Kondwani Kumwenda and Kondwani Lifeyo.

However, Dzimbiri impressively made a return on Sunday when Mighty Wanderers peeped rookies Chikhwawa United 3-0 at the Balaka Stadium to the delight of his coach.

“He has lost about 4 kilo’s but he is not yet there; we still have to keep on monitoring him so that at the end of the season he should be somewhere” Phiri told Nyasa Times.

Phiri described Dzimbiri as one of the best strikers on the local scene.

“He is the best and a national team material. If you can compare him with other strikers, he is only disadvantaged because of his body weight” he said.
