Wanderers pen TP Mazembe over Milanzi loan

Mighty Wanderers have written TP Mazembe of DRC requesting the club to release Luka Milanzi on loan to the Lali Lubani Road.

Wanderers General Secretary Mike Butao said the club would benefit from the services of the Escom United player.

“We have written Mazembe and we are hoping that they will release him because we want to get him on loan,” Butao said.

He said they were hoping that Mazembe would release him on loan since he is not enjoying his game at the club.

“Mazembe are not using him at the moment and we are hopeful that they would give him a chance to let him go and play the game,” he said.

“This could also work to their advantage because if he will regain his form he can be able to return to DRC.”

Milanzi trained for the Nomads during the pre-season but he was recalled by Mazembe over contractual issues.

The attacking midfielder was also loaned to Zambia’s Zesco last season but he was also released after failing to impress the Zambia top league club.

He was hoping to revive his career at Wanderers but TP Mazembe recalled him because he is tied to two years remaining of the four-year contract he signed with the club two years ago.

The 20-year-old Malawi failed to break through the TP Mazembe first squad while he was at his peak because of age-cheating allegations which made him to be treated as minor at the club.
