Wanderers to regroup next week, linked with Chester

Malawi ‘s kings of football cups Mighty Be Forward Wanderers are set to regroup on Tuesday next week ahead of the fourth coming season, team manager Steve Madeira has disclosed.

Wanderers team manager Steve Madeira: We are regrouping

Madeira told Nyasa Times that the club would like to finalise all administrative issues first before regrouping hence the delay.

“Initially we were expected to regroup this week but Management  decided to finalise all administrative deals before we regroup.

“ There are a few deals which management is still trying to finalise and we are hopeful that by Monday next week, all would be done,” said the Madeira.

On reports that the club intend to chop 13 players ahead of the new season, the former Azam Tigers Team Manager said those are just speculations.

He said the team’s Head Coach and Technical  Director would be in good position to respond to such speculations.

“Wanderers is a big club. During off season, it’s normal for people to speculate rumors and am not surprised. However, it’s up to the Coach and TD to make the necessary changes for the food of the club. Let’s wait for next week and see what will come up,” said Madeira.

Wanderer ‘s only marquee  signing during this transfer window has been Lucky Malata, former Silver Strikers Captain.

Meanwhile, the club is heavily linked with a move for Azam Tigers playmaker Yamikani Chester who handed in a resignation letter from the club on Tuesday this week.
