Wendy launches ‘Nalliah’ album in style
Songstress Wendy Harawa is bound to make a new impact both on the local and international music arena if the response of her new album is anything to go by.
The Queen of Ragga as the musician is fondly known, launched the new album on Saturday 1st April 2017 at the Lingadzi Inn’s Mandimu Garden and the party continued at Squirrels Park in Mzuzu on Sunday.
Harawa and the supporting artists both gave out a sterling performance where she among other things performed a couple of tracks from her new album live for the first time.
During the show, Harawa was supported by veteran musician Lucius Banda, Nepman, Sam Smack and one of Zambia’s leading group The Organized Family.
While thanking and asking patrons to support her new project, Harawa hailed Banda for his tireless support in grooming her music career.
“Without Lucius Banda, I couldn’t have reached this far but I am who I am today because of him. He has played a big role in making my music career a success,” said Harawa.
She therefore called upon all his followers to continue loving his songs.
Some of the new tracks in the new album include Chikondi Chabe, Justin, Amandinena, Boo Boo Tiye featuring DJ Cosmo and One more time which is a tribute to Musamude Fumulani and Lily T of Zambia in which she featured Runnel and Exile of Zambia.
Meanwhile, the CD’s are on the market as she awaits to release a DVD.
Some of the tracks like Ambuye Ndionetseni and Nalliah are currently already enjoying massive airplay in various local radio stations.
