Woman jailed 11 years for defiling teenage boy in Neno

A Neno Magistrate’s Court has sentenced Teleza Steven, 24, to 11 years’ imprisonment after she was convicted of defiling a 17-year-old boy.

The court heard that Steven had taken the teenager’s phone on August 25 this year and carried it back to her home.

When the boy went to retrieve his phone, Steven allegedly told him it was on the table and that he could go in and collect it himself.

But once the boy entered the house, Steven is said to have locked the door behind him before assaulting him.

The teenager subsequently suffered pain in his genital area as a result of the assault, prompting him to report what had happened to his mother.

His mother reported the matter to police upon learning of the incident, leading to Steven’s arrest and eventual conviction.
