FA Malawi courting Zambia, Mozambique for Flames friendly
Football Association of Malawi (FAM) is leaving no stone unturned in its bid to accord national football good preparations as they have approached their Zambian, Mozambican counterparts for friendly games.
FAM General Secretary Suzgo Nyirenda said the association was hoping to secure at least a friendly game before facing Swaziland in the Africa Cup of Nations or World Cup qualifiers encounter against Tanzania.
Nyirenda said they had also written Zimbabwe but put slim chances since the Flames are in the same group with the Warriors.
“We would like offer our support to the Flames coaches by ensuring that the team should have good preparations before their assignments,” Nyirenda said.
“We know time might not be on our side to secure a friendly before playing Swaziland away on 5 September. But we are confident that we can manage to secure a friendly to tune up for Tanzania game.”
Malawi under the tutelage of new coaches Ernest Mtawali and his assistant Nsazwirwimo Ramadhan are now down to serious business as the Flames regroup for training camp.
Malawi started the Africa Cup of Nations on a poor note after losing 2-1 to Zimbabwe attracting the wrath of FAM to fire Young Chimodzi and his assistant Jack Chamangwana.

Kkkkkk koma FAM,……..
Certainly it is a good move by FAM because this will help new coaching staff to critically assess their players during a friendly game. All the best as players in camp in preparation for the game against Swaziland.
