Ka Jive season 3 unveiled with Airtel hiking sponsorship to K6 million

Airtel Malawi unveiled a K6 million sponsorship to the Times Television Kajive Dance Competition’s third season on Wednesday at their Limbe Head Offices in Blantyre.

Airtel’s Marketing Director Emmanuel Kasambala said  Airtel feels good to bounce back and continue sponsoring the KaJive Dance competition now in its third year by Times TV.

He also revealed that it has pleased Airtel to increase the prize this year from K4 million to K6 million.

“Airtel is firmly dedicated to empowering the youth in the country and it is with great pleasure that our K6 million sponsorship for KaJive season 3 registers yet another testament to our commitment to celebrating, developing and empowering Malawian talent,” explained Kasambala.

He added that with the KaJive show gaining momentum every year, the talent and commitment that was demonstrated in the past 2 seasons of the  Ka Jive dance competition was a manifestation of the altitude Airtel Malawi wants the youth in the country to have.

Times Group Chief Commercial Manager, Dumisani  Ngulube  applauded Airtel Malawi for its commitment in sponsoring Ka Jive.

“As Times Group we are very excited with  this development and we know that even the youths will be excited with the fact that the prize money this year has been increased,” said Ngulube.

He said Ka Jive gives the youths in the country a platform to showcase their  hidden talent.

“We have great artists who lack stage to exbit their dance. But with the coming in of Ka Jive we have see a lot of talent and we hope in this season 3  we will see more participants,” said Ngulube.

Auditions for Season 3 of the Ka Jive Dance competition begin on 26th November at the Great Hall in Zomba.

Among other key highlights of the sponsorship, the auditions for season 3 will be done across the country in all the four major cities of Blantyre, Lilongwe, Mzuzu and Zomba.

The competition will run for 4 months interspersed with weekly prizes for patrons attending the auditions from Airtel and performances by various artists.

Ka Jive season 2 saw over 97 dance acts contend for the ultimate glory of K 1.5 million cash prize which was won by Twist Dance Crew of Blantyre.
