Malawi recall veterans Fischer, Kanyenda for Mali match
Bullets right winger Fischer Kondowe and battles scarred striker Essau Kanyenda have been recalled for Malawi national football team camp on Sunday in preparations for the Flames’ Africa Cup of Nations games against Mali and Ethiopia on November 15 and 19 respectively.

Kondowe, who is top form at his club Bullets, has been sidelined for national team duty in this campaign.
But Football Association of Malawi (FAM), which released the call-up on Friday at Chiwembe Technical and Development Centre, included Kondowe.
The controversial and outspoken winger said he was happy to be recalled.
“I am happy that the coach has recalled me. I will do all I can to help the team if I can be given the chance,” Kondowe said.
South Africa based professional Kanyenda has also been considered for the national team duty as the Flames seek to qualify for the third Afcon finals appearance.
The Flames, currently facing goalkeeping crises with the inconsistent and unimpressive performance of McDonald Harawa and Richard Chipuwa have also recalled Charles Swini who was sidelined after an injury.
The Flames have also recalled Mozambique based professional Zicco Mkanda who has inspired his team Liga Desportiva Maculmana to a league title by scoring 11 goals just three behind top goal scorer in Mozambique.
Bullets Under-20 sensational defender Miracle Gabeya has also be included in the team.
The following is the full list squad:
Goal Keepers; Macdonald Harawa, Richard Chipuwa, Charles Swini
Defenders; Francis Mlimbika, Bashir Maunde, Sankhani Mkandawire, John Lanjesi, Harry Nyirenda, Limbikani Mzava, Miracle Gabeya
Midfielders; Frank Banda, Phillip Masiye, Mecium Mhone, Young Chimodzi Jr, Fischer Kondowe, Robert Ng’ambi, Josephy Kamwendo, Chimango Kayira
Strikers; Gastin Simkonda, Kelvin Hanganda, Peter Wadabwa, Zicco Mkanda, Gabadihno Mhango, Robin Ngalande, Esau Kanyenda

I know Young has recalled fisher coz of pressure from bullets fans. Fisher will not change anything in the team. Akanyendaso antha. This only shows that even if Mponda returns to footabla, he will also be recalled. Anawa adzamenya liti mpira.
awo machine pa chikopa munthu wamkulu amatha musadele nkhawa aMalawi pachitika kanthu
We do not have defending midfieder when we are wining find astrong player on the mid, now that chomodzi is back to his sence and fisher is back you can use him in the last 20mins todefend fisher can do both, the job you have as coach is to remove pressure off on Gaba tell him that even if he don’t score it don’t matter but if he passes the ball someone scores is very impotant for malawi . At the moment if you have obseved Gaba is even falling to control why too much pressure on him. So gaba should be in fiest eleven and Ngalande as winger fishe and kanyenda should came in to defend as exep players good lucky think big bc tactically you are very poor
kondowe ukachitise manyazi poipulumutsa malawi uli boo, amfumu a kanyenda prove that you’re vetelan by doing what nobody could think of kagoletse zigoli fisher kamwendo mbali zonse azikakuponyela ndiwe wamtali kagoletse osangotulukamo mground ngati munalibe wamkulu, good luck guys
I don’t know see the reason why you pick Young Chimodzi Jnr he is rubbish. You should have used Fischer a long time ago what a useless bunch of coaches

anong’a nde team tsopano malawi iyamba kuwina
The best
Honestly, Flames has performed badly in recent years because they ignored these two guys – Fischer and Esau. Despite the so called bad behaviour by Fischer, the boy is an asset to the country. We should also not just forget Mwafulira. The combination of Esau and Mwafulira was causing problems to the defence. This is not what you can expect from Roben Ngalande, Gaba, Simkonda – No!! These guys guys play soccer as accounts – very clean. No, we need to use tactics, force, brains, opportunities, experience etc. Lets have these guys start in the next game. Zikomo.
Go Flames!!!!!!!!!!! Go Flames!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to scorch Mali and Ethiopia during next games. We love you maflames.
Bravo FAM! Bravo Flames! Wishing you all the best, welcome back Rasta! show dem! show dem! dat Jah Works
Fuck Young and Jack! Akanachita zimenezi kalekale bwenzi titapanga kolify kalekale!
Good to hear that these guys(Fischer and Esau) have been recalled. would have loved to see James Chilapondwa being recalled as well. Anawa Mpira alinawo kutali. in other African countries the Didier Drogbas played for their teams for a long time. they only stoppedAFTER SEEING TO IT THAT ANA OBWERA AKHWIMA OSATI NGATI IFE PLAYER TWO GAMES MAN OF THE MATCH KU SUPERLEAGUE MCHOMBO ULI LENDE TILI TIYENI AKASEWERE NATIONAL TEAM!!!! ZACHIBWANA!!! by the way why is Moses \Chavula still not playing for the National team anymore? inu bwanji mpira ku Malawi basi munthu kungofika zaka 25 timati wakula? thats the time imene player amakhala kuti wapanga mature and nzeru za mpira zadzadzamo….. ma officials a mpira pa club level m,ukupha Mpiara pa Malawi…. zamkutu!!!!”
Its too late 4 Kanyenda and Kondowe 2 b recalled. Is it because Kanyenda scored a brace and Kondowe playing well and r re called? Why now?
Good riddance of Saintfiet by Free State Stars and Kinnah back as caretaker coach. Kinnah u r a gud coach never lose focus and Rantsi Mokoena must stop using Kinnah as 911 emergency number, needing him when the team is going down the drain. This is not gud 4 Kinnah and the players.
This new look flames make belive we can be to another afcon finals, only if we can improve on goal keeping. Welcome back fisher! Essau! And go go young without fear.
Mr Coach, it’s good to swallow one’s pride for the sake of nation, sizija munayankhula after Algeria game ayi. U showed personal hatred against Anong’a! Go Jah man and company go. Prove to the coaches that age is nothng but a number! Apa ndiye Morocco ija yatheka, believe u me!
kodi inu a FAM are we building the team or destroying IT?? why including this 2 overaged players what a shame malawi will never learn at all..lets build a better tean imene ingachite compt zaka zikubwerazi..eveen kamwendo magamu omaliza akhalwe amenewa…ana asewere mpira..good example talimbana ndi Chavula asakutithandiza kodi FM7 SAKUSEWERA BWINO?? Goo! Goo! Flames you hv to work harder guyz
Congrats to Anong’a but it’s too late for FAM and Flames Coaching Panel to save Babylon now
GOOD NEWS,THE TEAM WAS IN NEED OF EXPERIANCED PLAYERS LIKE FISHER AND KANYENDA. A good team has got to have a good BENCH. BRAVO FLAMES, ZIVUTE ZITANI IFE TILI PA MBUYO PA FLAMES.
The team looks better now, but Ian Chinyama must be considered in this team. He is the right choice for better defending tactics due to his height, fitness and confidence on the ball basing on the fact that we are meeting teams with tall players almost in all departments. he can also make a good left winger with his fast runs he is used to. With Fisher on the right, we now dont have strong left winger which is a weakness, playing well must be coupled with brevity and havoc in opponents’ side.
