Mighty Wanderers blossoming midfielder Gerald Papa Phiri jnr has put pen to paper at Zimbabwean side Caps United,a move which he has described it as a stepping stone to a bright career.
The young and up-coming star confirmed with Nyasa Times that he signed a contract on Friday morning.
He disclosed that the deal will keep him at Caps for four years.
“I am a very happy because this is a step forward to my career. I cannot say much apart from thanking God for this opportunity,” said Gerald.
Caps and Wanderers are reported to have agreed on a $15 000 [about K6 million] transfer-fee.
Gerald will follow into the foot-steps of other Mighty Wanderers players Joseph Kamwendo, Allan Kamanga and Philip Nyasulu, who had a short stint at the Zimbabwean out-fit some years back.Follow and Subscribe Nyasa TV :
