With the country’s representatives in the on-going Big Brother Star Game still sailing through weekly evictions, it would only be disappointing if they happen to miss the night of June 23 when 101 FM Dj Malick invades the house with his music-spinning skills.
Dj Malick real name Masugzo Msiska is expected to party with the housemates on the night of Saturday June 23 for an hour between 10 and 11pm. He is also slated to be spice up the eviction on Sunday June 24 from 8pm to 9pm.
He will be a third 101 Dj to represent Malawi in the Big Brother house; other Djs include Dj Panther and Dj Boo who rocked the house last year with his disc-jockeying dexterity.
“It is an honour for me to join the elite of Africa’s finest Djs who party with the housemates once in a while. Am ready for the show and people should expect nothing but fun as you know 101 Djs never disappoint,” explained Malick in an interview with Nyasa Times.
However, to clarify why it has been 101 Fm Djs that only represent the country in the Big Brother house, Multichoice Marketing Manager told the local press last week that the choice of who should represent the country is done by a radio partner who happens to be 101 FM radio.
Dj Malick is the host of 101 Gowelo and Nytwa Flava, two urban music programs that have pioneered the growth of the urban music industry as act as a launch-pad some of the country’s celebrated urban artists.
On other development, Malick is set to mesmerize party enthusiasts on Friday night during the grand opening of new night club Al Pacino’s in the hub of Blantyre city, Nyambadwe in particular.
“I will be the first deejay alongside the real double c to inaugurate the newly opened night club Al Pacino’s located in Nyabadwe. On this night patrons will a sample out the new spot and entry is free.
“The night club will be hosting a lot of parties with the renowned deejays and on other weekend a band, which means there is a verity for a wide range. The night club is mainly themed after Scarface the mafia Lord al Pacino’s and also has a setting to match the name which is something new in the country,” said Dj Malick.
