Luhana, who sat for the just gone Junior Certificate Examination (JCE) at Mnjiri Community Day Secondary School, is among 50 TNM customers that won a total of K100 million in the Ufulu@50 promotion that the mobile service provider conducted in 2014 to celebrate the country’s 50th Independence anniversary.

Each of the winners was required to choose a social responsibility project of choice worth K2 million, translating to K100 million.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Luhana said she was delighted to assist the community through TNM’s promotion.

“I’m very happy that through TNM’s Ufulu @50 promotion I have been able to make a difference to my community by constructing teacher houses. Lack of teacher houses remains a major challenge especially for rural schools,” she said.

The school head teacher Hillen Jeka said the completion of the teacher’s house at the school has brought a sigh of relief to the school.

“There are six teachers because there are also six houses .Teachers refuse to rent house in the community. We thank the girl through TNM for doing the finishing,” said Jeka

TNM’s Head of Northern Region, Richard Kwatiwani said the company was satisfied with the projects that have been handed over so far as they have spread across all social fabrics of the society.

“The handover of these facilities demonstrates our company’s commitment in fulfilling its promises to customers in Mzimba and the rest of the region. Through this promotion, we have touched almost every social fabric of the country,” he said.

Makulande Primary School is the latest beneficiary of Ufulu @ 50 promotion CRS initiative.

Meanwhile, the company has extended its on-going Tikolore promotion by another month to allow more customers to win.

Initially the promotion was supposed to wind up on Friday, July 31, 2015 but with the extension customers will continue to win the designed prizes including tricycles up to August 31, 2015

Tikolore promotion was launched on May 1, 2015 with an aim to celebrate the current harvest season and help Malawians prepare for the coming farming season.

TNM’s Marketing Manager Madalitso Jonazi said the company has extended the promotion in order to give customers more chances to win.

“The promotion has received overwhelming response from our customers as demonstrated by the increase in numbers of customers that are participating in the promotion so TNM thought it wise to thank customers by extending the promotion period,” said Jonazi

Jonazi therefore encouraged its customers to continue participating in the promotion by simply recharging with a minimum of MK50.

“We have given out 8 tricycles so far and 8 more are still up for grabs, so I would like to urge and encourage our valued customers to continue participating in the promotion and win the different prizes,” he said.

TNM is giving out four tricycles to four lucky customers every month during the promotion.

In addition to the main prizes, TNM subscribers also stand a chance to earn 50% bonus on their daily airtime recharges during the promotion.

To stand a chance of winning in the promotion and benefitting from bonuses and incentives, TNM customers need to top-up with a minimum of MK50.
