Man’s private parts ripped out in gruesome murder
Malawi Police has said a man, who was working as a tobacco tenant in, has been found in central region district of Mchinji bordering with Zambia brutally murdered with his private parts ripped out.
Mchinji police publicist, Moses Nyirenda, identified the murdered man as Harlod Chisale, aged 40, of Chisale village in the area of Lobi in Dedza.
Police believes the suspected ritual murder occurred on Christmas Day while Chisale was out drinking beer.
“We found the body of Harlod Chisale dumped at Mlonyeni village along Bua River,” police spokesman said.
“The private parts of the deceased had been removed,” he added.
He said police detectives are currently following up strong leads about the alleged selling of the parts removed from the body of the deceased.
Police spokesman said cases of ritual murder were of great concern in the district.
